The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Sardar Vallbhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat is organizing an AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy Program on Advances in Manufacturing from January 4 to 8, 2021.
The Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat is an institute of national importance, funded by the Government of India. This institute is spread over 100 hectares of land on the Surat-Dumas Road. The Institute is established in 1961 in the State of Gujarat as one of the Regional Engineering Colleges, became the National Institute of Technology (NIT) on 4th October 2002.
The role of manufacturing in a country’s economy and societal development has long been established through their wealth creation activities. The main objective of this program on “Advances in Manufacturing (AIM)” is to familiarize the participants with recent advances in the rapidly growing area of manufacturing.
Experts will not only impart theoretical knowledge in the area of conventional as well as computer-aided manufacturing but practical online demonstration will also be given to the participants. Participants will also get the opportunity to share their views on developments in the theme of this program.

The faculty members of the AICTE approved institutions, research scholars, PG Scholars, participants from Government, Industry (Bureaucrats/ Technicians/ Participants from Industry, etc.), and staff of host institutions.

There is no registration fee for the program. The program will be organized in online mode. The link shall be shared with the participants in advance. A test will be conducted at the end of the program.
