The Department of Computer Science and Engineering & Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Indore is organizing an Online Course on Recent Trends in ML & Soft-Computing from December 18 to 20, 2020.
Indian Institute of Technology, Indore (IIT Indore or IITI), located in Madhya Pradesh, is one of the Institutes of Technology established by the Government of India in 2009. It is one of the eight new Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India under The Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 2011 which declares eight new IITs as well as the conversion of Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University to IIT.
Machine Learning (ML) is a systematic study of algorithms and systems that improve their knowledge or performance with experience. SoftComputing (SC) is a sub-paradigm of Machine Learning which includes the methodologies that embrace approximate reasoning, imprecision, uncertainty, and partial truth in order to mimic the remarkable human capability of making decisions in real-life, ambiguous environments.
Soft Computing has therefore become popular in developing systems that encapsulate human expertise. This course would cover the basics of ML and SC as well as their recent advances in real-life applications including those in optimization, data analysis, data mining, prediction, and diagnosis. Besides learning the basics and applications of ML and SC, the participants of this course would also get a flavor of recent challenges in these interdisciplinary areas.
- Classification, Regression, Clustering with Case studies
- Basics of Machine Learning & Soft-Computing
- Data Analysis with Illustrative case study
- Handling optimization issues, Online data
- Python programming for Data pre-processing, ML & SC
