The Department of Mechanical Engineering, S.V. National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat is organizing an Online Course on Combustion Concepts & Applications from November 30 to December 4, 2020.
The Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat is an institute of national importance, funded by the Government of India. This institute is spread over 100 hectares of land on the Surat-Dumas Road. The Institute is established in 1961 in the State of Gujarat as one of the Regional Engineering Colleges, became the National Institute of Technology (NIT) on 4th October 2002.
At present, the SVNIT is offering Six UG Programmes, Eighteen PG Programmes, and three M.Sc. Five Years Integrated Programmes in Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics including a doctoral program in varied branches of science and engineering.
Considering the importance of combustion in our society the program aims to develop an interest in the area of Combustion science. The basic objective of this training program is to impart knowledge of combustion to post-graduate students, research scholars, faculty members and engineers working in the industries.
From this STTP, participants will know the fundamentals and the importance of combustion in various engineering and scientific applications. Also, participants will learn the numerical/ experimental approach to solve problems related to combustion.

Faculty members, Research scholars, UG students, Industry personnel and practicing engineers are eligible for this STTP.
Faculties/ Experts from IITs, NITs and other premier Institutions/ Organizations will deliver lectures.
Registration fee for the program is Rs. 300 for research student, Rs. 600 for faculty from academic institutions and Rs. 5000 for industry personnel and practicing engineers.
