The Indian Institute of Plantation Management, Bangalore, India, is India’s apex educational institution set up by the government of India to provide research, training and education in the agricultural sector, a sector that employs almost half of India’s workforce.
About the Contest
The food and nutritional intake and the food consumption pattern in the global market have been changing in the recent past. Moreover, the outbreak of pandemic COVID19 has also lead to phenomenal changes in food preferences and consumption pattern. Enhancing immunity and food safety has become the top priority of people.
Both state and central government constantly encourage entrepreneurs. Moreover, Karnataka Govt has announced an amendment act to start the business without waiting for approval. At this juncture innovation in food, the business has become an emerging need.
To give an opportunity for the innovative young minds, IIPM proudly organises the start-up contest for innovative food business. The contest includes the following food sectors:
- Meat and Poultry
- Fruit and Vegetables
- Cereals and Pulses
- Bakery and Confectionary
- Food Packaging
- Any other sectors in the food chain
- 1st Prize: Rs. 20,000/-
- 2nd Prize: Rs. 10,000/-
- 3rd Prize: Rs. 5, 000/-
Who can Participate?
Aspiring undergraduate students in food engineering, food technology for whom food science, agriculture and allied subjects.
