CfP: Conference on Digital Technologies and Transformation in Academic Libraries (DigiTTAL 2019) @ NIT Surathkal [Dec 26-28]: Submit by Oct 31

The nature of information environment is changing dramatically with the advancement in ICTs and emerging trending technologies. Ever changing user needs and expectations have made library and information science profession as one of the most exciting one to work in and provides opportunities for LIS professionals.

To address the issues and challenges of futuristic e-libraries, an International Conference on Digital Technologies and Transformation in Academic Libraries (DigiTTAL-2019) is being organised by Central Library, National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal during December 26-28, 2019 as part of Diamond Jubilee Celebration Year of the institute (1960-2020).

The conference would definitely help libraries to stay in tune with rapid changes occurring due to the introduction of emerging innovations, trends and technologies and prepare themselves for excellence to serve the users.

Call for Research & Innovation Papers

The Research & Innovation track at DigiTTAL 2019 welcomes papers on novel scientific research and/or innovations relevant to the topics of the conference. Submissions must be original and must not have been submitted for publication elsewhere.

Call for Posters and Demos

The Posters & Demonstrations Track invites innovative work in progress, research and innovation results, and smaller contributions in all fields related to the conference theme and sub themes.


The conference will consider, but not be limited to, the following indicative sub-themes:

  • Open Knowledge Resources
  • Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
  • Technology Trends in Libraries and Librarianship
  • Big Data, Data mining, Data Visualisation, Data Science

Only the accepted papers from authors who register for this conference will be included in the Conference Proceedings.  Authors can submit their full papers through an e-mail attachment to  indicating the sub-theme the paper belongs to.
