India Today’s News Wiz Quiz 2017: Register by June 21, Win Cars and Laptops!

The “News Wiz” Quiz returns for a second season. Hosted by India’s best known news journalist, anchor and author, Rajdeep Sardesai, News Wiz, in its first season, showcased the top quizzing talent in the country, with edge of the seat excitement and nail biting finishes.

The show saw over 350 teams take an on line test and 27 top scoring teams from the top schools of the country, participate for the television rounds.

Produced by Anita and Siddhartha Basu, the successful producers of such landmark shows as Kaun Banega Crorepati, Mastermind India, University Challenge and India’s Child Genius.

This year again the 13 part series, to be recorded starting August 2017, is inviting young, bright and engaging students from around the country to take part in the preliminary test! An added twist this year is the possibility of being a Wild Card Entry!

Even if you don’t make it through the preliminary test and further rounds of selection, your teams may have a second chance to make it to the Televised rounds, through on ground live quizzes in select cities, which shall be announced later.

Prizes

This year prizes on offer include laptops, printers and for Final winners, Tata Tiago cars.

Eligibility

If you are students / know students from class 9 to 12 – form teams of two members and register to take part for the qualifying test for what definitely will be an exciting new season of News Wiz!

Requirements

  • Teams need to fill out the online entry form, last date of registration is 21st June 2017.
  •  Team members also need to email us recent passport size photographs of each member, properly labelled with their name and school name post successful registration. Email id: newswiz@toknowledge.com.
  •  Each team needs to apply as a team of two.
  •  Team participation should mean both members represent the same school.
  • Both team members should be fluent in written as well as spoken English.
  •  Both team members should be Indians residing in India.
  • Each school can put forward 3 teams based on required eligibility to take part in the preliminary test.
  • All teams that register need to provide us an official letter from the principal’s office, nominating their teams to represent their schools.
  • All teams that register, will have to take an online test to be eligible to participate on the televised rounds. You will have to be from Class 9-12 in the academic session of 2017-2018 to be eligible
