Ashwani Awasthi, who is theManaging Director of RICS School of Built Environment, wrote in an India Today article that Job Shadowing is one fantastic way to figure out and decide what exactly to do after your 12th grade.
It is very simple: If let’s say Medicine is your field of interest and if that is what you want to do in the future, you spend time with a doctor, learn from his/her daily routine, get to know more about the profession and its demands, and after that, maybe also conduct ‘informal interviews’ with friends and family of your parents to weigh the pros and cons of that field and see if it works out for you.
Job Shadowing is one of the many techniques that you can try in order to pick subjects for your college after your 12th grade.
