NBRC Gurgaon recruitment 2019 NBRC, Gurgaon is inviting applications from highly interested and motivated candidates for the posts of RD Engineer/Project Coordinator-I/Project Scientist-I in a time-bound research project for a temporary period purely on contractual basis.

1. R&D Engineer (Project)

About

National Brain Research Centre (NBRC) requires an R&D Engineer (Project) under the Computational Neuroscience Grant of Prof Pravat K. Mandal. The scientific interest of the lab is to identify early in vivo biomarkers for neurodegenerative disorders, new/novel signal processing patents (Kalpana), Pattern recognition patent (GAURI), Indian Brain Template (Brahma) and new toolbox (STIM for fMRI study). The lab uses multi-modal neuroimaging techniques, i.e. magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), functional MRI (fMRI), and magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) and MEG data to investigate the associated structural, functional, and neurochemical brain alterations, respectively.

Essential Qualifications
  • B. Tech./B.E. (Electrical/Electronics/Computer Science) or M. Sc. With one-year of research experience
  • Minimum 60% marks from matriculation onwards.
Desirable Experience
  • Excellent scientific communication and Matlab coding.
  • Ability to multitask, effective project management
  • Experience in MRI data handling
  • Molecular Modelling
Project Investigator

Salary

25,000/- pm (consolidated) (No other allowances are applicable)

Age Limit

30 years as on the date of Walk-in-interview

Tenure

The tenure will be for a period of one year initially and extendable on annual performance review. The post is co-terminus with the project. Selected candidates will be required to abide by the rules and regulations of NBRC.

Interested candidates fulfilling the following requirement can appear for the walk-in interview at 11.00 A.M. on 06th December 2019 at National Brain Research Centre Manaser, Nainwal Mode, Gurgaon, (Haryana). Candidates are requested to report at 10.00 A.M. along with all the certificates in support of qualification and experience as claimed, in original for verification of documents. Candidates reporting late will not be included in the interview process.

The candidates are required to carry the following documents:

  • Statement of purpose (minimum 500 words) indicating your research interests and experience and also indicate how his/her experience/expertise will help ongoing research activities.

2. Project Coordinator-I

About

Applications are invited for the position of Project Coordinator-I under the NBRC Flagship project entitled “Comparative Mapping of Common Mental Disorders (CMD) Over Lifespan” funded by DBT and coordinated by Director, National Brain Research Centre, Manesar, Haryana. Project Coordinator-I will help in the overall management, writing & filing of reports and liasoning between different participating teams & institutions.

Project Site Principal Investigator

Director, NBRC.

Minimum qualification

1. Doctoral Degree in Engineering/Sciences/Medicine/Pharma/Social Sciences/MD

2. Strong academic record matriculation onwards with a minimum of 55% marks

Desirable Qualification

Experience in managing research project(s) and/or coordinating with investigators. Ability to multitask and document the activities of the project. Excellent writing skills. Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.

Appointment Duration

The appointment will be made on a contract basis, initially for six months. Continuation of appointment will depend upon satisfactory performance during the appointment period and validity of the project. The post is co-terminus with the project.

Age limit

40 years on the closing date of application (06th December 2019)

Duties

Project Coordinator-I will be involved in coordination with different investigators involved in the study for the smooth running of the project. The responsibilities also include preparing reports and organizing meetings etc.

Salary

60,000/month (consolidated). No other allowances/benefits will be admissible

Age Limit

35 years on the closing date of application (06th December 2019)

Duties

MRI/fMRI/Diffusion Tensor Imaging, electrophysiology, image processing, data analysis, and technique development.

Salary

56,000/- per month + 8% HRA. No other allowances/benefits will be admissible
