About

The National Brain Research Centre (NBRC), Haryana invites applications from meritorious candidates for admission into its Ph.D. & M.Sc programs for the upcoming academic session.

National Brain Research Centre is the only institute in India dedicated to Neuroscience Research and Education. Scientists and students at NBRC come from diverse academic backgrounds, including biological, computational, mathematical, physical, engineering, and medical sciences, and use multidisciplinary approaches to unravel secrets of the brain.

1. Ph.D. (Neuroscience)

Given the fact that modern-day neuroscience is highly interdisciplinary in nature and relies on a spectrum of techniques spanning different disciplines, students from diverse academic backgrounds are encouraged to join NBRC and excel in neuroscience research. The  Ph.D. students come from vastly different backgrounds such as Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, and Medical Sciences.

To gain an all-round perspective of neuroscience, you will undergo one year of coursework, where you will learn from molecular to computational neuroscience and everything in -between. You will also get an opportunity to rotate in various labs to get a closer look at the research work, and zero-in on what excites you the most.
