The C.N.R. Rao Education Foundation And Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bangalore Invite nominations for the National Prize for Research in Inorganic and Physical Chemistry to recognize outstanding contributions in the area by scientists below the age of 55 years.

The Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research is one of the premier institutes in India. It is known for its excellent, innovative, and collaborative interdisciplinary approach toward conducting scientific research.

Award

The awardees will be given a cash prize along with a Citation.

Eligibility Criteria
  • The applicants should be engaged in research in the above-mentioned areas ( Inorganic and Physical Chemistry) and made landmark contributions with good publication records, particularly in application-oriented research.
  • The prize will be given for outstanding contributions in the area by scientists below the age of 55 years.
Selection Criteria

The award will be selected based on the recommendations of a Committee constituted for this purpose and approval of the Competent Authority.

The application in the prescribed format along with relevant supporting documents and nominations should be sent in an envelope superscribed “Application for National Prize for Research in Inorganic and Physical Chemistry” to Dr. Indumati Rao, Education Technology Unit, Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, Jakkur P.O., Bengaluru- 560 064 on or before March 31, 2021.

The duly filled-in applications along with relevant documents can also be sent by e-mail to indumatirao@jncasr.ac.in and reception@jncasr.ac.in  before the last date. The prize will be awarded in June 2021.
