The Naropa Fellowship is a one-year residential programme for post-graduate candidates, designed for leadership development in the Himalayas.
The inaugural Founding Class will consist of 50 Fellows, commencing on 1st September 2018 and graduating in August 2019.
The curriculum includes a year-long, hands-on, Live Action Project where Fellows design and test sustainable solutions relevant to Ladakh and/or other Himalayan regions.
The Naropa Fellowship will take place in Hemis, located 40 km south east of Leh airport in Ladakh.
- Candidates from all fields and professions are eligible to apply, with preference given to persons from Himalayan regions such as Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, and Himachal Pradesh, in India and Nepal and Bhutan internationally.
- Candidates must have successfully completed their undergraduate degrees from recognized institutions, and have a sound academic and extra-curricular record.
Fees and Scholarships:
The fee including tuition, hostel accommodation, and meals, is approximately INR 10,00,00. Forty of the fifty students of the Founding Class will be rewarded full scholarships. Full or partial scholarships will also be available to international students on a needs-only basis.
