NABARD has announced the Research Internship Scheme to engage interested researchers for conducting research using primary as well as secondary data by assigning projects / studies relevant to the functioning of NABARD.
The Research Intern will:
- Conduct research/survey in areas identified by NABARD
- Assist and collaborate with officer / team of officers on various studies / research survey
- Assist in collection, collation and compilation of data with the relevant and necessary analytical, statistical and econometric tools, and
- Document research and prepare reports/articles.
Ph.D. holders and post-graduates from recognized Indian Universities and institutions with specialization in the field of Economics, Agricultural Economics, Agriculture Technology, IT in Agriculture, Management, Finance, etc.
Candidates fulfilling the above condition may join the scheme on sabbatical.
The applicants should not be above 40 years of age.
No of Seats
Maximum of 10 interns at any point of time.
The duration of the internship will be for a minimum period of 06 months and a maximum period of 24 months, from the date of commencement of the internship.
The interns would be placed in the Department of Economic Analysis and Research (DEAR) at NABARD, Head Office, Mumbai. However, the interns may be required to travel any part of the country as per the requirements of the work.
The interns would report to Mentors, identified by NABARD.
- Post Graduates: Rs. 40,000 per month
- PhD: Rs. 50,000 per month
Interns are also eligible for other allowances as mentioned in the official notification below.
Accommodation, though not guaranteed, may be provided in NABARD’s staff quarters subject to availability and payment of rent as per the policy.
