Goonj invites you for a Menstruation Dialogue: Missing Voices, Missed Out Issues on 21st May 2019 at Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), New Delhi.
About the Dialogue:
This dialogue is an effort to prioritize and bring into spotlight menstrual challenges of a vast majority of humanity who are still unheard.
There are 1.8 Crore, disabled women, more than 5 Crore tribal women, 6.5 Crore migrant women, 20+ lakh sex worker women and many others like them just in India and much bigger numbers globally are still left out in the larger mapping of Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM).
The discussion will touch upon missing voices of such women whose menstrual challenges need more representation on menstruation narrative.
The discussion will also focus on some missed out issues like the dignity of women, menstrual waste, environmental threat, connect between menstrual health and general well being of women, menstruation, and sanitation infrastructure, etc.
