Agami is organizing a 15-day workshop on ‘Make-a-Thon for Migrants’ on November 8-22, 2021.
What is the Make-a-thon for Migrants?
The pandemic has exponentially magnified the issues faced by migrants and we are now in need of diverse solutions with new perspectives.
Agami, an organization that supports and enables ideas that serve justice, in collaboration with Aajeevika Bureau, an organization working to enhance the dignity and well-being of migrant worker communities in the informal economy, are hosting this Make-a-thon to enable people to create solutions for challenges faced by migrants in India.
The Make-a-thon will be a 15-day journey, beginning with a workshop that sets out the socio-legal landscape of migrant workers in India and the approach to designing effective solutions to the challenges they face.
Following this, participants will form teams and develop solutions with the support of experienced mentors and domain experts from the Aajeevika Bureau community.
The Rules and Problem Statements of the Make-a-thon will be shared with the participants shortly.
Three promising solutions will be declared the winning solutions and those teams will receive financial grants and additional mentorship to take their solutions to their full potential – including working on their solution with Aajeevika Bureau.
