MA/LLM/PhD Admissions 2019 in Tribal Law @ Central University of Jharkhand: Apply by April 13

Applications are invited for admission to the following courses offered by the Department of Contemporary and Tribal Customary Law, Central University of Jharkhand.

M.A. (Tribal Law and Governance)

Eligibility: Bachelor degree in any discipline with 50% marks (45 % for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/Divyang applicants).

Total Seats: Sixteen (16)

Reservation: OBC-NCL : 27 %, SC : 15%, ST : 7.5%, Divyang : 4% (horizontal),

Economically Weaker Section: 10%

Course Duration: 4 semesters

LL.M. (Tribal & Customary Law / Human Rights)

Eligibility: LL.B. degree with 50% marks (45 % for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/Divyang applicants).

Total Seats: Thirty One (31)

Reservation: OBC-NCL : 27 %, SC : 15%, ST : 7.5%, Divyang : 4% (horizontal),

Economically Weaker Section: 10%

Course Duration: 4 semesters

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)

Eligibility: Master degree in Law / Anthropology / Sociology / Public Administration / Human Rights / Social Work or any other related discipline with 55% marks. (50 % for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/Divyang applicants).

Research Area: Domains pertaining to Human Rights / Law / Governance / Socio-Cultural realms concerning Tribals.

Seats: Three (03)

UGC-JRF / RGNF / MANF / ICMR qualified/selected candidates shall be eligible for receiving Rs. 25,000/- per month (as fellowship) + Annual Contingency of Rs. 10,000/- + HRA as per norms (likely to be revised soon).

All others admitted students: University Fellowship – Rs. 8000/- per month + Annual Contingency.

Last Date of Application: 13th April 2019.

Date of Exam: 25 and 26 May 2019

Exam Centers: 120 centres in different cities/towns of India and Nepal.
