The Economics Society, St. Stephen’s College is pleased to host Mr. Montek Singh Ahluwalia for a lecture under the Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to commemorate the seventy-fifth year of India’s independence.

About the Organiser

St. Stephen’s College is an affiliated college of the University of Delhi. It was established in 1881 by the Cambridge Mission to Delhi. The college admits both undergraduates and post-graduates and awards degrees in liberal arts and sciences under the purview of the University of Delhi.

About the Lecture

The session will be held on the theme, “Economic Challenges for the next 20 years”. The lecture will be held for 35-40 minutes, followed by a 15 minutes question and answer session.

The session is open to students of all colleges.

About the Speaker

Mr. Montek Singh Ahluwalia, was the former Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission of India and the first Director of the Independent Evaluation Office at the International Monetary Fund.
