Finally, these biomaterials will be evaluated for their efficacy/efficiency towards their intended application.

  • Eligibility:
    • Minimum Qualification: M.Tech or B.Tech with valid GATE score from IIT/NIT or reputed Universities in Chemical Engineering/Biological Engineering/Environmental Engineering/Biotechnology/Microbiology.
    • Preferred Qualifications: Candidates should have ≈ 1 year experience in molecular biology techniques such DNA/RNA isolation, Primer design, Mutagenesis PCR, Restriction digest, Gel electrophoresis, Design and construction of recombinant vectors, Transformations of vectors.
  • Duration: Initial appointment is for 6 months, extendable up to another 6 months based on performance.
  • Salary: 25,000 to 31,000 INR per month.

JRF Under SERB Funded Project at NIMHANS Bengaluru: Apply by Mar 12

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up one JRF post on contract basis for the SERB funded project entitled “Analysis of the functional implications of IL-12/ IFN-γ axis in Subacute Sclerosing Panencephalitis (SSPE): An integrated clinical, biochemical, genetic and gene expression study” under Dr. Viswanathan LG, Assistant Professor and Principal Investigator, Department of Neurology, NIMHANS.

  • Eligibility: M.Sc. in Life Sciences (Genetics/Biochemistry/Zoology/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/ Neurosciences or related subjects)/ M.Tech in Biotechnology/ Genetic Engineering with experience in methods/ tools/ techniques used in genetics research. Qualified national level exam conducted by CSIR/ UGC or equivalent.

JRF Under MOES Funded Project at IISER Mohali [2 Positions]: Apply by Mar 21

IISER-Mohali (Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences) desires to engage two JRFs under the MoES sponsored research project at IISER-Mohali.

  • Eligibility: MSc in Physics or Chemistry or Data Science or MTech in Atmospheric Sciences or Physics or Chemistry with 55% Marks or above in BSc and MSc or BS-MS and MTech (if applicable) and 70% Marks or above in 10th and 12th board exams, with any of the following: GATE/ CSIR / UGC as JRF/NET qualified and still valid. Strong basics in physical chemistry and analytical chemistry or atmospheric sciences with knowledge of programming in Python and experience in handling large datasets.
  • Project details: The project will involve intensive field work in New Delhi and NCR region. The candidate will get to learn and deploy advanced mass spectrometric equipment to characterise gas phase volatile organic compounds and organic compounds in the aerosol phase and analyse data.
  • Duration: Initially for 1 year which can be extended subject to satisfactory performance for up to 4 additional years with the possibility of promotion from JRF to SRF after 2 years subject to satisfactory performance.
