Junior Research Fellow

Name of the Research Project: Development of a technique for the treatment and control of acidity of water in mine sumps of MCL using waste material

Name of the Sponsoring Agency: Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd., Sambalpur

Tenure of the Project: 2.5 years

Job Description: Field monitoring, sample collection, laboratory analysis, data interpretation, report writing

Consolidated monthly Salary/ Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- per month(1st& 2nd Yrs.) and Rs. 35,000/- per month (3rd yr.)

Essential Qualifications and experience: BE/B.Tech with GATE or ME/M.Tech in Environmental Science & Engineering/ Civil/Mining/Geoinformatics or M.Sc. in Env. Science/Geology/Chemistry with NET or any other related field.

Desirable Qualifications/ Experiences: Knowledge of statistics and GPS software.

Name of the Research Project: Development of Contactless Vital Sign Monitoring System using PPG based on Smartphone Camera

Name of the Sponsoring Agency: Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), DST, Govt. of India

Tenure of the Project: 02 Years

Job Description: Research work related to the project and related documentation. (The project student may be allowed to enrol in Ph.D./M.Tech (Research) program as per the institute’s norms)

Consolidated monthly Salary/ Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- per month

Essential Qualifications and experience: First class in B.E. or B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering or relevant discipline followed by M. Tech. or M.E. in Electronics / Electrical / Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Telecommunication/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Applied Electronics & Instrumentation/ Electrical and Electronics Engineering or in any other relevant specialization with aggregate marks of 60% or 6.5 CGPA OR B.E. or B. Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering or relevant discipline with valid GATE score and 7.0 CGPA

Desirable Qualifications/ Experiences: Knowledge of the following courses: Digital Signal and Image Processing, Linear Algebra, etc. Experience on one or more of the following software tools: MATLAB, Python, etc.
