Applications are invited for two positions of Junior Research Fellow to work on the following SERB funded project in the Department of Condensed Matter Physics and Materials Science (DCMP and MS), TIFR, Mumbai.

Essential Qualification
  • M.Sc. in Physics with minimum 60% marks. OR B.E./B.Tech. in electronics/electrical engineering/materials engineering/engineering physics with minimum 60% marks.
  • GATE or NET qualification is required at the time of joining. If you have given either of these exams and results are awaited, then you can apply.

Prior research experience. Training with device measurements and fabrication of nanoscale devices.

Job Requirement
  • Nanofabrication of devices using 2D materials like graphene
  • Electronic measurement of devices using 2D materials like graphene

Below 28 years

Nature & Period of Post

Appointment as JRF is temporary for a period of one year. This position is extendable for a maximum period of 3 years depending on performance.


Rs 31,000/- + HRA as admissible
