Applications are invited from candidates with excellent academic credentials for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a DST SERB sponsored research project titled, “Connecting operating variables, cone/jet features and mesh properties in electrospinning: using experiments and modelling to bridge theory and applications” at IIT Hyderabad.
Essential: M.Tech or M.E. (First class) in Chemical Engineering or allied areas such as Polymer Engineering, Polymer Science and Technology and Nanotechnology. Minimum aggregate of 80% or CGPA of 8.0 and above in the M.Tech or M.E. degree. Candidate’s age not to exceed 28 years as on the date of this advertisement.
Desirable: Motivation to work in an engaging academic environment on an experimental project that also offers scope for theory development. Strong fundamentals with an interest in polymers/nanofibers. Experience with experimental work in related areas is also desirable. Valid GATE score is not mandatory but desirable.
Initial appointment will be made for a period of 11 months, and based on performance, the appointment will be extended. The full duration of the project is approximately 3 years. Upon satisfactory progress and fulfilling the criteria set by the Department of Chemical Engineering, the selected candidate can register for a Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering at IIT Hyderabad.

Rs. 31,000 per month for the first two years, and Rs. 35,000 per month in the third year. HRA will be paid as applicable, and as per existing norms.
