IISER Mohali invites applications for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under SERB funded project for the year 2021. The last date of application is 24 April 2021.
Gut Electromicrobiology: Understanding extracellular electron transfer capabilities of the gut microorganisms and its implications to human health.
Essential Qualifications: Postgraduate degree in Microbiology with minimum 60% marks. Candidates should have qualified any national eligibility tests such as CSIR/UGC/DBT-NET and GATE in the relevant discipline.
Desired qualifications: Prior research experience/hands-on training on handling/cultivation of pure microbial cultures (preferably anaerobic) and molecular biology is desired. Some knowledge and experience in microbial electrochemistry is also desired.
1 year (extendable up to 2 additional years after evaluation and as per the availability of funds).
