Junior Project Fellows & Project Assistant at Zoological Survey of India, Kolkata [4 Vacancies]: Apply by Jul 27: Expired

Applications are invited for the purely temporary posts of three Junior Project Fellows (JPF’S) and One Project Assistant on Himalayan Studies (NMHS Government of India, sponsored research project utilization of Indigenous mountain pollinators bumblebees”.

Junior Project Fellow (JPF)

Essential Qualification: Essential Qualification: M. Sc. in Zoology with the specification in Entomology/ Life Sciences /or equivalent with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks from a recognized University.

Desirable Experience: Research experience in bee taxonomy, systematics, zoology or allied subject supported by publications, Experience of working in High altitude region, entomofauna, wildlife, Knowledge of Computer and basic field data collection, field photography, GIS/Remote Sensing, Climate change etc.

Age Limit: The upper age limit for applying for selection of JPF’S and PA shall be 28 years as on the date of commisioned of the project i.e. 15h July 2020. Upper age limit is relaxed up to 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC-Non Creamy Layer (NCL)/Women/ Physically Challenged applicants as per GOI rules.

Project Assistant

Essential Qualification: 10+2 or equivalent from recognized Board

Desirable Experience: Knowledge of Computer and Data entry.

Duration

The positions are purely on temporary basis initially for a period of one year and it may be extended for further period(s) based on further project extension and satisfactory performance of the candidate and will be co-terminus with completion of the project.

Fellowship

Fellowship of Rs 20,000/- plus Admissible HRA for the initial two years as JPF and in third year Rs 23,000/- plus Admissible HRA as SPF will be provided and Rs.10,000/= per month fixed for Project Assistant.
