Applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up one post on contract basis for the SERB funded project entitled “Analysis of the functional implications of IL-12/ IFN-γ axis in Subacute Sclerosing Panencephalitis (SSPE): An integrated clinical, biochemical, genetic and gene expression study” under Dr. Viswanathan LG, Assistant Professor and Principal Investigator, Department of Neurology, NIMHANS.
Eligibility
Essential Qualification:
- M.Sc. in Life Sciences (Genetics/Biochemistry/Zoology/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/ Neurosciences or related subjects)/ M.Tech in Biotechnology/ Genetic Engineering with experience in methods/ tools/ techniques used in genetics research.
- Qualified national level exam conducted by CSIR/ UGC or equivalent.
Desired Qualification:
- Candidates with prior experience in processing of blood samples, nucleic acid extraction, DNA sequencing, Gene Expression, ELISA, Multiplex Suspension Assay, and recording as well as analysis of clinical data will be preferred.
Maximum age limit: 28 Years (Age relaxation will be given for exceptionally meritorious candidates).
Duration
2 years. Initial appointment will be made for a period of one year, which will be extendable every 12 months or till the end of the project depending upon the performance of the candidate.
