Applications are invited for temporary position of a JRF/ SRF position in a research project on “Study of Lunar Geo-morphological and Impact Cratering Processes through Chandrayaan-1 Datasets” funded by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (also known as IIT Gandhinagar or IITGN) is a public engineering institution located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. It has been declared to be an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India.
Job Role
The project work is related to remote sensing analysis of Chandrayaan-1 data, interpretation of morphological features on the lunar surface, and its comparison with similar features on the Earth surface.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Earth Sciences or Geospatial Sciences.
- The Candidates should have a valid GATE/ NET card.
- The candidate having experience of working on DEM data, analysis of morphological features, and knowledge of Python or Matlab computing language will be preferred.
Salary
Rs. 31,000/ Rs. 35,000 per month
