Dept. of Biotechnology & Medical Engineering, NIT Rourkela is inviting Walk-in-Interview from interested candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow for a time-bound research project purely on a temporary basis.

Project Title

Integrated solar –photocatalytic and biological treatment of pharmaceutical wastewater.

3 Years.

Assignment Tenure

3 Years.

Job Description

Isolation and characterization of pharmaceutical waste degrading bacteria, their degradation kinetics, degradation optimization, reactor design and performance evaluation.

Monthly Fellowship

Rs. 31,000./- per month for 1st two years and 35,000/- per month for last year.

Essential Qualifications 

B. Tech with GATE//M. Tech degree in Biotech with specialization in Biotechnology/
Environmental Engineering/Environmental Biotechnology,

Desirable Qualifications

Experience on Molecular Biology, Environmental Biotechnology with expertise in the area of
degradation study and Microbiology is desirable.

Selection Process

Written test and interview by the selection committee.


Bachelor accommodation in the Institute may be provided and campus accommodation may be provided to married students subject to availability.
