Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Bareilly invites applications from interested candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for a temporary period purely on contractual basis.

Project Name

DST-SERB (EMEQ scheme) funded project on “Generation, Characterization, and Evaluation of Mouse Monoclonal Antibody against Canine Distemper Virus for Diagnostic Potential”.

Position

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – One.

Essential Qualifications

Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science with NET qualification or Graduate Degree in Professional Course with NET qualification or Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course
(M.V.Sc./ M. Tech/M. Pharma. etc.).

Desirable Qualifications

work Experience Working knowledge in animal cell-culture and virus handling, immunoassays, handling and management of mice, molecular biology, computer application (Web-searching, MS-Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.).

Stipend

Rs. 25,000/ month plus HRA as per DST, guidelines.

Age limit

30 years (relaxation admissible for women, SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Govt. of India norms).

Project Duration

Likely date of completion is March 2022.

Nature of Work

Place of posting will be at ICAR-IVRI, Izatnagar. Works related to Cell-culture, Cultivation and purification of virus, ELISA, handling and maintenance of mice, PCR/RT-PCR, PAGE, Isotyping, documentation and maintenance of laboratory data etc.

Tenure

The engagement is purely on a contractual basis, co-terminus with the project or earlier, depending upon the performance of the candidate. Institute will hold no responsibility for payment of emoluments/regular employment after termination of the time bound project.

Candidates attending the interview are required to bring their recent bio-data, original documents along with NET-certificate and one photocopy of self-attested marks sheets, degree certificates and two passport size photographs.
