Mizoram University will conduct Walk-in-interview on 30th November 2019 for various posts for the Project entitled “Mizoram Biodiversity Documentation and Establishment of Natural History Museum of Mizoram”.

Eligibility

Eligibility for Research Associate (RA): Ph.D. degree in Life Sciences/ Environmental Sciences/ Ecology/ Wildlife Sciences. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong taxonomic or bioinformatic background and prior experience in molecular techniques.
Eligibility for Curator Director: Ph.D. degree in Life Sciences/ Environmental Sciences/ Ecology/ Wildlife Sciences. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in natural history museum curation. Strong organizational, management and critical-thinking skills; database management.
Eligibility for Junior Research Fellow (JRF): MSc degree in Life Sciences/ Environmental Sciences/ Ecology/ Wildlife Sciences with NET/ non- NET qualification. Preference will be given to candidates with prior knowledge/experience in field work, taxonomy, and molecular techniques.
Eligibility for Curator Staff: MSc degree in Life Sciences/ Environmental Sciences/ Ecology/ Wildlife Sciences. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in natural history museum curation. Strong organizational management and critical-thinking skills; database management.
Eligibility for Field/Laboratory Assistant: HSSLC (and above) in any stream. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in biodiversity in vectorization field work, laboratory knowledge, and a strong work ethic.

Instructions

Candidates should bring their CV along with original copies of all relevant mark sheets and certificates for verification at the time of the interview.
The term of service is initially for 12 months and upon satisfactory performance, the service will be continued. The post is purely temporary and is co-terminus with the project.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
The walk-in-interview will be conducted on 30th November, 2019 at 11:00 am in the Dept. of Zoology, PUC.
