Applications are invited for the post of a JRF/Project Fellow to work in the Inter University Accelerator Centre (IUAC), New Delhi research project entitled “High spin structure and lifetime measurements using Recoil Distance Doppler Shift Method in mass region ~120 nuclei”.
The aim of the project is to measure the lifetimes of the excited states with high precision using the Recoil Distance Method (RDM) and DSAM. The plunger device, with Indian National Gamma Array (INGA) in coincidence mode, will be used at Pelletron accelerator IUAC, New Delhi.
The extracted multi-pole transitions rates will be compared with different nuclear models to study the nuclear structure phenomena. The candidates who have interest in nuclear structure are encouraged to apply.
The person to be considered for appointment as JRF/Project Fellow must have second class master degree with a minimum of 55% marks for general category (50% in case of SC/ST/PH) or M.Phil in the subject concerned or a be appointed as JRF/Project related subject. The candidate to fellow should be below the age of 40 years at the time of appointment having either a valid GATE score/NET/JEST/cleared the Panjab University entrance test.
NET/GATE Qualified: Rs. 25,000/- p.m. and Non-GATE/Non-NET – Rs. 14,000/- p.m.
