JOB POST: Junior Research Fellow, Dept of Biomedical Engineering @ NIT Raipur: Walk-in on May 24

Applications are invited for the following assignment in a purely time-bound project undertaken in the Department of Biomedical Engineering of the National Institute of Technology, Raipur.

Name of the Research Project: Three-dimensional Monte-Carlo Simulations for Photoacoustic Tomography using Graphics Processing Units

Name of the Sponsoring Agency: DST-SERB, Govt. of India

Duration of the Position: Three years (03)

Consolidated Monthly Compensation: INR 25,000/- per month (1st and 2nd year) INR 28,000/- per month (3 rd year)

Essential Qualifications:

M.Tech or equivalent degree (Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biophysics, Biophotonics, Computer Science and Engg., Medical Software, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, all other relevant engineering disciplines with substantial experience in project related areas)

(OR)

M.Sc. (Biophotonics, Mathematics, Physics, all other relevant disciplines with substantial experience in project related areas) with 60% marks or equivalent CGPA with valid GATE/ NET Score

Desirable Qualifications:

Computational Mathematics, Monte Carlo Methods

Eligible candidates should appear for walk-in interview at Department of Biomedical Engineering, NIT Raipur on 24th May 2017, 11:00 AM and also are requested to mail their CV and duly filled application for JRF (attached format) to sgupta.bme@nitrr.ac.in before 24th May 2017, with the subject marked as “Application for JRF, DST-SERB”.

Candidates should appear in person with originals of degree certificates along with any other relevant information (like copies of publications, awards, recommendations etc.).

No travelling or any other allowances is admissible for attending the interview.

Tenure of the JRF will be for a period of 3 years and may be considered for PhD further if the candidate fulfils admission criteria of NIT Raipur.
