The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Thiruvananthapuram invites applications from meritorious and eligible candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow to work on a contractual basis under an MHRD-STARS Funded project.
IISER Thiruvananthapuram is a premier autonomous Institution established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, for the promotion of high-quality science education and research in the country.

Master’s degree in Physics or related fields such as engineering physics, Materials Science, Materials Engineering OR Graduate/ Post Graduate Degree in Electrical engineering/ Materials Science/ Material Engineering/ Applied Physics/ Engineering Physics, with a minimum of 60% marks, selected through a process prescribed in any one of the following:
- Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests-UGC NET including lectureship and GATE Or
- The selection process through National level examinations conducted by MHRD and its Agencies and institutions such as UGC / llT/ llSc/ IISERs/ lllTs etc.
Rs. 31,000/- per month
01-Year and extendable by one more Year subjective to the satisfactory performance of the candidate.
