Applications are invited from candidates with excellent academic credentials for the position of JRF in a sponsored research project on nonlinear mechanics of slender arches in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at IIT Hyderabad.

Eligibility

Essential criteria for applicants: B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from an IIT/NIT OR BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from other recognized universities/institutes.

Desirable criteria for applicants:

  • Strong motivation to work in a serious academic environment on a computational and experimental project that also offers scope for theory development.
  • Experience in computer programming (Matlab, Python), FEM (Abaqus), CFD(Ansys), and CAD (Solidworks).
  • Comfort and past experience with mechanical prototyping and basic electronics.
Duration

Initial appointment will be made for a period of 11 months, and based on performance, the appointment will be extended.

Selection Process

Candidates will be short-listed based on their academic record/achievements, and only short-listed candidates will be intimated via e-mail for an online interview with a selection committee. Please note that merely meeting the essential criteria does not guarantee a call for an interview. The position will be left vacant if no suitable candidate is found.
