Applications are invited for JRF in Swarnajayanti Fellowship Project Under SERB Funded Project at IIT Ropar for the year 2021. The last date of application is 18 July.
The Laboratory for Nano-scale Optics and Meta-materials, Department of Physics, IIT Ropar is interested to hire a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the Swarnajayanti Fellowship scheme of DST-SERB
Studies on the spectral and temporal modification of spontaneous emission of solid state defects using resonant photonic structures.
The project involves the experimental studies of the spontaneous emission from solid-state defects modified using resonant photonic structures. The JRF will design and build state-of-the-art optical experiments to measure the emission in both frequency and time domain in an ultra-low temperature environment.
- Master degree in Physics or equivalent or M. Tech. in relevant area with minimum 60% mark along with good academic grades throughout, and strong commitment to pursue research.
- The candidates must have a valid CSIR-UGC (JRF) or a valid GATE score in addition to the qualification mentioned in point ’a’
- Experience in research labs/instrumentation facility and knowledge in computer programing is desirable.
Please send the filled application form (in the attached format) with copy of educational qualifications, date of birth certificate, and any experience certificate either by email as a single pdf file to (rvnair[at]iitrpr.ac.in) or by post directly to the undersigned.
