Indian Institute of Technology invites applications from Indian nationals for the Junior Research Fellow position to work in the DST-SERB project entitled “Influence of self-affine and periodic surface fluctuations on ‘Coffee ring effect’” under the supervision of undersigned.
The position is purely temporary and is initially for a period of one year. The duration may be extended further if the performance during the first year is very good. The selected JRF candidate may be permitted to register for Ph.D program as per the existing institute rules.
The project involves the study of self-affine and corrugated surfaces on evaporative self-assembly process (commonly known as Coffee ring effect) as a function of particle size and type. Efforts would be made to estimate the surface and interparticle forces thereby giving rise to the dried droplet patterns observed in the experiments.
Junior Research Fellow (JRF).
Initially for a period of 1 year. The position is temporary which will be renewed every year subject to satisfactory performance.
As per DST-SERB rules.
- Must have a Master’s degree in Physics or equivalent with minimum 60% mark, with a strong commitment and motivation to pursue research in the subject area.
- Must have a valid CSIR-UGC (NET or JRF) or a valid GATE score in addition to the above-mentioned qualification.
