Applications are invited from the interested candidates for one temporary position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the project sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology (DST)-Global Innovation and Technology Alliance (GITA), Government of India, bearing the sanction Ref No. GITA/DST/TWN/P-90/2021 undertaken in the School of Sciences (Physics), NIT Andhra Pradesh.

National Institute of Technology Andhra Pradesh, Tadepalligudem, is an Institute of National Importance, established in 2015. It is a fully-funded Institute under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (01)

Project Title

Multiferroic Materials for Future Electromagnetic based Solid-State Refrigeration Technology funded by DST-Global Innovation and Technology Alliance (GITA) Government of India and Ministry of Science & Technology (MOST), Taiwan.

Qualifications
  • M.Sc. in Physics/ Applied Physics or equivalent degree with at least 60% marks (or a minimum CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale) with valid NET/ GATE.
  • Sound knowledge in Materials preparation / Synthesis procedure; Familiarity in Materials characterization and Magnetism; Good Scientific writing skills.
Salary

Rs. 31,000/-per month

Tenure

The initial appointment will be for one year, which is extendable up to the duration of the project, solely based on satisfactory performance. If the performance of the candidate is found unsatisfactory, the position can be terminated with a 1-month notice.

Selected candidates shall not have a claim on any regular position. They shall not be bestowed any of the privileges like Housing, Medical Facility, and other benefits available to regular employees of the Institute. The selected candidate is eligible to register for Ph.D. degree at NIT Andhra Pradesh as per Institute rules.
