Anna University invites applications for the post of Junior Research Fellow (Under DST Funded Project) at Anna University, Tamil Nadu.

Anna University is a public state university located in Tamil Nadu, India. The main campus is in Guindy, Chennai and the satellite campus is in Chromepet, Chennai. It was established on 4 September 1978.

Project Title

“Digital Acquisition, Character Recognition, and Conservation of Heritage Content From Ancient Stone Inscriptions” funded by DST, Govt. of India.


First Class in M.E. / M.Tech. (Computer science and Engineering/ Information Technology / Big Data Analytics/ Software Engineering/ Multimedia Technology/ Equivalent) selected through a process described through any one of the following:

  • Selected through National Eligibility Tests CSIR UGC-NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE. OR
  • Selected through National Level Examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc.

Candidates having knowledge and experience in AI/ MACHINE LEARNING/ DEEP LEARNING/NLP-related work/ projects. A strong commitment and motivation to pursue research in the subject area and having good communication skills.
