Post Details

1. Research Fellow

Applications are invited on the prescribed form available in the office of the undersigned on payment of Rs 200/- in shape of Bank draft payable at Ludhiana in favour of Comptroller PAU, Ludhiana on any working day from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm along with attested copies of certificates for one post of Research Fellow under “Evaluation of Fluensulfone 2% GR (NIMITZ) against nematodes in carrot, Misc157 (PC-4944)” for a period of six months or till the termination of the scheme whichever is earlier.

  • Qualification:
    • B.Sc. /B.Sc. Agriculture with minimum OCPA 6.00/10.00 or 60% marks
    • M.Sc. in Plant Pathology/ Microbiology with minimum OCPA 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks.
  • Salary: Rs.17,000/- p.m.(fixed) +20 % HRA

The applications should reach in the office of Head, Deptt. of Plant Pathology, PAU, Ludhiana on any working day from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. by 09.01.2020. The incomplete applications will not be entertained. The candidates should appear for the interview on 10.01.2020 at 04.30 pm in the office of the Head, Department of Plant Pathology, PAU, Ludhiana. The candidate should bring original certificates at the time of interview. No separate intimation for interview will be sent. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

2. Young Professional-I

Applications are invited on the prescribed proforma available in office of the undersigned on payment of Rs.200/- in the shape of bank draft in favour of the Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana payable at Ludhiana on any working day along with attested copies of certificates for the post of Young Professional-I in the scheme “National Initiative on Climate Resilient in Agriculture (AICRPAM- NICRA) ICAR- 141 (PC-2154)” for a period of six months or till the termination of the scheme whichever is earlier.

  • Qualification:
    • B. Sc. with a minimum OGPA 6.00/10.00 basis or 60% marks.
    • M.Sc. in Agricultural Meteorology/ Agronomy OCPA 6.50/10.00 basis or 65% marks.
  • Salary: Rs.25000/- (fixed)

The last date for receipt of application in this office duly completed in all respects is 16-01-2020. Incomplete applications or unsupported by the documents will not be entertained. The candidates should appear for interview on 21-01-2020 at 11.00 A.M. in the office of undersigned in room No. 63-B in the College of Agriculture, PAU, Ludhiana. No separate information for interview will be sent. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

The amount of first full month fellowship payable to the Young Professional-II will be kept as security with Head, Deptt of Climate Change & Agricultural Meteorology and it will be paid to him/her as and when he/she leaves the fellowship after giving the requisite one month’s notice or deposits the amount of one month’s fellowship. The Junior Research Fellow when resigning the fellowship shall have to give one months’ notice or have to deposit one month salary in lieu of one month notice.

3. Junior Research Fellow

Applications are invited on the prescribed form available in the office of the undersigned on payment of Rs. 200/- in the shape of bank draft payable at Ludhiana in favour of Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana on any working day from 9.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. along with attested copies of certificates and passport size photograph for the one post of Junior Research Fellow provided in the Adhoc project,“Fine mapping of nuclear male sterility gene ms10 in chilli pepper and its introgression from chilli pepper to bell pepper through MAS” CSS-49 (PC-6250).

  • Qualification:
    • B.Sc.Agriculture/Horticulture/B.Sc.Agriculture Biotechnology/ B. Sc. Basic Science with minimum OCPA 6.00/10.00 basis or 60% marks.
    • M.Sc. in Vegetable Science/Plant Breeding and Genetics/Biotechnology/ Botany with minimum OCPA 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks.
  • Desirable: Preference will be given to candidate having experience in molecular breeding/Vegetable crops
  • Salary: Rs. 25000/- +20% HRA for an initial period of six months from the date on which the incumbent joins or till the termination of the project whichever is earlier.

The last date for the receipt of applications duly completed in all respects in this office is 20.01.2020. Incomplete applications will not be entertained. The candidates should appear for interview on 27 .01.2020 at 10.00 A.M. in the office of the undersigned. No separate intimation for the interview will be sent and no TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

The amount of first one month salary payable to the Junior Research Fellow will be kept as security with the Head, Department of Vegetable Science and it will be paid to him/her as and when he/she leaves the service after giving the requisite one month’s notice or deposits the amount of one month’s salary. However, this will not hold good in respect of other assignments in PAU.
