Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (also known as IIT Kanpur or IITK) is a public engineering institution located in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. It was declared to be an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India under the Institutes of Technology Act. Established in 1960 as one of the first Indian Institutes of Technology, the institute was created with the assistance of a consortium of nine US research universities as part of the Kanpur Indo-American Programme (KIAP).
Applications are invited for the post of Project Engineer under a SERB funded IMPRINT II project entitled “Design and Development of Textile based Metamaterial Absorber for RADAR Stealth”.
M.Tech. in Electrical / Electronics Engg. with expertise in RF and Microwave Engineering. Candidate should have done a good number of courses on Microwave Engineering during the master program.
NET /GATE scores are desirable.
Project Engineer will be responsible for the design, development and characterization of RF absorbers for different kind of RF substrates. He should have good hands-on experience with microwave equipment like Vector Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, etc. He also should have good expertise in using electromagnetic simulation software like HFSS, CST microwave, COMSOL etc.
Salary will be in the scale Rs. 26400-2200-66000 with medical facilities and accommodation as permissible under Institute rules.
The position is tenable for one year and extendable by one more year upon satisfactory performance.
