Eligible and interested candidates can appear for the walk-in-interview at the Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology, Thanjavur for working in the following Projects/Departments on a purely temporary/time-bound basis as detailed below.

1. Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

Project Title

Active Intelligent Packaging system with antimicrobial agents for fruits and vegetables (GAP-044)

M.Tech in Food Process Engineering/Food Science and Technology/Food Science & Nutrition/Biotechnology (or) M.Sc. in the above disciplines with NET/SLET (or) Ph.D. in the above disciplines.

2. SRF

Project Title

Technical Assistance to Director

Essential Qualification

Ph.D. (or) M.Tech. in Food Science/Food Technology/Chemical Engineering/Food Process Engineering/ Biotechnology/ Nanotechnology (or) M.Sc. in any of these disciplines with NET.

Desirable Qualifications

Proficiency in English writing & MS Office.

3. SRF

Project Title

Radiofrequency enabled hot air drying techniques for foods (sunstroke) (SRP – 021).

M.Tech. in Food Technology/Food Process Engineering/Food Science & Technology/Food & Agricultural process Engineering.

4. Project Assistant

Project Title

Dehydrated process of Fruit Juice form soft candies (SRP – 020)

Essential Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science/Food Technology/Food Science and Technology/Food Engineering/Food Processing and Technology/Food Processing and Engineering.

Salary

  • Technical Assistance to Director-SRF & SRF for the Project (SRP-021): Rs. 31,000/- Consolidated in addition to HRA (as applicable).
  • SRF for the Project (GAP-044): Rs. 25,000/- Consolidated in addition to HRA (as applicable).
  • Project Assistant to the Project (SRP-020): Rs. 12,000/- Consolidated in addition to HRA (as applicable).

Age Limit

As on the date of Interview SRF/PA 35 years for men and 40 years for women.

Application Fee

Rs.500/- (exempted for SC/ST/PWD Candidates)

Tenure of the Project for SRF/PA

Tenure will be initially for a period of six months or till the completion of the Project Period whichever is earlier and renewable every six months based on satisfactory performance.

How to Apply

Candidates fulfilling the above eligibility criteria are advised to be present on 25.10.2019 at the Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology, Thanjavur – 613 005 (Tamil Nadu) on 25.10.2019 at 9.30 AM. with original certificates, including OBC/SC/ST/PH certificates, grade card/mark sheets/publications, two numbers of colour passport size photographs and CV, as well as a set of photocopies of all relevant documents along with application form prescribed by IIFPT at the time of walk-in-interview.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on a short duration written examination followed by an interview.
