P4 Lead

Eligibility:

Post-Graduate in Engineering, (urban/regional) Planning/City Planning/Urban Policy/ Governance/Urban Development/ Management or equivalent Social Sciences (relevant to urban development) from reputed institute.
At least 8 years of overall work experience in Indian cities with at least 3 years of experience in leadership roles working through the lifecycle of projects including design, planning, management, monitoring, capacity building, evaluation and reporting.
Experience working with Indian national, state level and municipal governments in projects related to resilience, climate adaptation, mitigation, data collection/analysis, information systems and capacity building.
Extensive conceptual and practical knowledge of government processes both at the national and regional and city level is expected. Experience of working and collaborating with non-governmental stakeholders, international agencies in the urban sector will be an added advantage.
Should have contributed to the national or state level policy
Have experience in preparation of strategy documents, policy guidelines and detailed project reports
Good analytical and knowledge management skills including writing and presentation skills.
Ability to communicate ideas clearly, strategically and sensitively with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to prepare communication strategy and implement the same.
Experience of managing teams and budgets.

Responsibilities:

To provide strategic operational guidance on P4 activities
To support implementation of national level activities, monitor state/city activities and provide technical support to them wherever needed
To support in resource mobilization for project activities
To support in partnership development and networking with and between public, government (national/state/local), civil society, private sector stakeholders, academia, donors, etc.
To monitor and report project activities as well as provide quality assurance
To manage and work as a team with other project partners
Any other related responsibilities, as assigned.

Lead

Qualification
Post-Graduate in (urban/regional) Planning/City Planning/Urban Policy/ Governance/Urban Development/ Management or equivalent Social Sciences (relevant to urban development) from reputed institute;
At least 8 years of overall work experience in Indian cities with at least 3 years of experience in leading key research assignments and programs for multilateral/ bilateral agencies, international donors, Line Ministries of Govt of India;
Should have published research papers in peer reviewed publications;
Experience of drafting knowledge products such as books, articles, research papers, toolkits, guides, policy papers and notes, baseline studies and/or comparative studies;
Experience working with Indian national, state level and municipal governments in projects related to resilience, climate adaptation, mitigation will be given additional weightage.
Extensive conceptual and practical knowledge of government processes both at the national and regional and city level is expected. Experience of working and collaborating with non-governmental stakeholders, international agencies in the urban sector will be an added advantage;
Good analytical and knowledge management skills including writing and presentation skills;
Ability to communicate ideas clearly, strategically and sensitively with internal and external stakeholders;
Experience of managing teams and budgets.

Roles:

To provide strategic operational guidance on research and knowledge management activities of C-Cube
To develop a repertoire of knowledge products and publications on urban climate action for cities, urban practitioners and Alliance partners
To facilitate knowledge sharing among cities, states, national and global platforms
To support implementation of national level activities, monitor state/city activities and provide technical support to them wherever needed
To monitor and report project activities as well as provide quality assurance
To manage and work as a team and other alliance partners
Any other related responsibilities, as assigned.
