Indian Centre for Space Physics (ICSP) invites application for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a project funded by DST / GITA.
The students will mainly work on observational studies of stellar mass black holes using archival data (mainly in X-ray band) of various present and past astronomical satellites, including India’s first multi-wavelength astronomy satellite ASTROSAT.
They will also work on theoretical aspects to improve our existing theoretical model on black hole accretion, namely two-component advective flow model.
This is an India-Taiwan scientific co-operation project under the Global Innovation & Technology Alliance (GITA), DST.
NET (excluding LS) / GATE with M.Sc. (at-least 55% marks) in Physics.
