JOB POST: JRF @ IIT Jammu [Monthly Stipend Rs. 25K]: Apply by July 12

Department of Electrical Engineering Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jammu invites applications from the interested candidates for one post of Junior Research Fellow to work on the R&D project titled “Cooperative Isolated PV Systems for Enhancing Reliability of Power in Rural Areas” sanctioned by Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India under Mission Innovation.


1. Candidate must have B.Tech./B.E. degree in ECE/ETC/E&C/E&TC/EE/EEE with
expertise/experience in Communications Networks and programming.

2. Candidate must have qualified GATE Examination.

3. Candidate must have first division (60% or 6.5 CGPA) or equivalent at all levels starting from secondary education for essential qualifications.




The staff will be appointed initially for one year (on contract) and his\her services can be
extended for next year (or till the last date of the project) based on the performance review.


Rs. 25,000/- + HRA.

Project Objective

This is an implementation based project wherein, the candidate has to work to set up a reliable communication system for Smart Grid purpose. Thereafter, data collection and analysis will be done through energy meters.

The shortlisted candidates will be sent notification via email along with the date and time of the written test/interview by 15/07/2019. The written test/interview will be conducted for all the eligible candidates. The applicants need to bring all the original documents for verification during the written test/interview. Applicants employment in private, government or any other organization is required to submit a “No Objection Certificate” from the employer at the time of interview.
