Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the Post of Junior Research Fellows (JRF’s) in a time-bound research project sanctioned under ICMR Multicentric project, PI of the Project Dr Suravi Patra, Department of Psychiatry, AIIMS Bhubaneswar.
A multicentre randomized controlled effectiveness comparison trial of Fluoxetine and mindfulness for depression in diabetes in the primary care setting.
Project duration is one year. The initial appointment will be on contract basis for 3 months and based on performance extension for a further 3 months. Following this, each contract period will be for 6 months and renewed till completion of the project.

B.Sc (Nursing) with MPH/Masters in Hospital Administration/ M.Sc. (Psychiatric Nursing)/ PhD (Psychiatric Nursing) OR M. Phil. (Clinical Psychology)/ PhD (Clinical Psychology)
Ability to carry out psychiatric interview and screening and diagnostic scales. anthropometric measurements
AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, Odisha
- Perform Mental Status Examination
- Ability to use ICD10 DCR to diagnose depressive disorders.
- Administer psychometric scales for evaluation of depression, Quality of life and compliance to antidiabetic medications
- Clinical assessments like Pulse, Blood Pressure
- Take complete anthropometric measurements
- Collect blood samples
- Prepare reports for quarterly appraisal.
- Ensure quality of data management.
