CSIR National Institute of Oceanography, Goa Is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a time-bound research project for a temporary period purely on contractual basis.

Project Title

Organic biomarkers as key to decipher the water column and sedimentary biogeochemical processes in the Arabian Sea oxygen minimum zone

Job Requirement

The selected candidate will be required to participate in outstation field works and cruises, carry out analysis of seawater and sediments; maintain the laboratory and equipment, data processing and report preparation.

Consolidated Stipend

Rs. 31000/-per month

Essential Qualifications

M.Sc Marine Science (with specialization in Chemical Oceanography) / Marine Chemistry / Hydrochemistry / Analytical Chemistry /Organic Chemistry with NET/GATE qualification; Incase of no suitable candidates with NET/GATE qualification, Non-NET/GATE qualified candidates will be considered for “Project Associate-I” position with M.Sc qualification.

Desirable Qualifications

The candidate with experience on HPLC/GC/GC-MS is prefered.

Duration

The position required to be filled for a period of months 10.
