This graduate entry-level position will involve identifying viral content relating to misinformation topics and taking the appropriate steps to establish the facts behind it. You will be expected to communicate your findings in a clear format, so strong writing and communication skills are necessary. 

Prior experience in reporting, social media newsgathering or fact-checking would be a clear advantage. However, as full training will be given, a willingness to learn quickly is at least as important. This role has a daytime shift pattern and includes weekend work. 


The successful candidate must: 

  • Demonstrate an analytical approach and an ability to research independently 
  • Show strong news judgement 
  • Be able to identify emerging trends and stories 
  • Have precise written English
