Applications are invited from Indian National candidates for various faculty posts of Assistant Professors in different departments for PGIMER, Chandigarh purely on contract basis for six months or till such time the regular appointments against these posts are made whichever is earlier through walk-in-interview.

Community Medicine & SPH

A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in Part II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in subsection (3) of Section 13 of the Act.).

A postgraduate qualification i.e. MD (Community Medicine/ Social and Preventive Medicine) or MD (Community Health Administration – three years course) of an Indian University/Institute recognized by Medical Council of India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for a teaching post.

The candidate must be registered with the State Medical Council/MCI.

3 years teaching and research experience in a recognized Institution after obtaining the degree of MD.

Pediatric Surgery

A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in Part II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub section (3) of the Section 13 of the Act.).

A postgraduate qualification i.e. M.Ch (Pediatric Surgery) of an Indian University/Institute recognized by the Medical Council of an India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for teaching post.

The candidate must be registered with the State Medical Council/MCI

Experience: No experience required.

Pharmacology

A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in Part II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub section (3) of the Section 13 of the Act.).

A postgraduate qualification i.e. MD (Pharmacology) of an Indian University/Institute recognized by Medical Council of India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for a teaching post.

The candidate must be registered with the State Medical Council/MCI.

Experience: 3 years teaching and research experience in a UGC recognized University/ autonomous Institution/ MCI recognized college in the subject of Pharmacology after obtaining the degree of MD.

Salary

The consolidated remuneration will be Rs.1,00,000/- (Rs. One Lac Only) per month.
