BOB Financial Solutions Limited (BFSL, formerly known as BOBCARDS Ltd.) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bank of Baroda and a Non-Deposit Accepting Non–Banking Finance Company (NBFC). BFSL was established in the year 1994 to cater to the need of the rapidly growing credit card industry in a focused manner. BFSL is one of the pioneers in the Indian card market and was the first nonbanking company in India to issue credit cards.
The Company’s core business is credit card issuance and consumer lending. It also provides support to Bank of Baroda by carrying out its merchant acquiring operations and its debit cards operation for its overseas territories/ subsidiaries and sponsored RRBs. The Company is aiming to expand within Consumer Credit, Commercial Credit, Retail Credit, Capital Market Lending (loan against securities, IPO financing) and other Financial Services.

1. Area Sales Manager

Role & Responsibilities

This position is responsible for driving business through outsourced executives. Being a people leader position, the candidate is also responsible for the coaching and development of the Sales Team, ensuring appropriate sales processes are followed, and the highest levels of controls and compliance are adhered to and manage the end to end sales cycle. The Role and responsibilities of this position include:
1. Driving Business through Defined Channels of Acquisition (3rd Party/ Channel Partner).
2. Obtaining and analyzing market intelligence & implementing market share strategies.
3. Develop strong interfaces with Operations to understand and contribute to Card approval process.
4. Analyze applications on an on-going basis to ensure that metrics on approval rates, cancellation rates, declines and spend behavior, etc. are met.
5. Team handling

  • Monitoring and evaluating team performance.
  • Acquiring and developing new talent.
  • Ensuring on-going team coaching and development.
  • Creating a culture that motivates, empowers and retains talent.

2. Area Sales Manager – Alternate Channels

Role & Responsibilities

This position is responsible for driving business through outsourced executives. Being a people leader position, the candidate is also responsible for the coaching and development of the Sales Team, ensuring appropriate sales processes are followed, and the highest levels of controls and compliance are adhered to and manage the end to end sales cycle. The Role and responsibilities of this position include:

  • Prospecting for new customers through existing leads, cold calling and maximizing lead generation.
  • Timely execution of all sales activities – leads, campaigns, referrals & any self-generated leads.
  • Tracking and reporting sales performance including pipeline, acquisition results and market conditions.
  • Maintain cordial relations with all business partners for the generation of leads/corporate activities.
  • Being up-to-date on product features, competition & trends in the credit card industry.
  • Engages in regular portfolio planning to determine areas of focus & project accurate full-year forecasts.
  • Ensure customer acquisition as per the sourcing mix.
  • Keeping a check on all policy changes, marketing offers. Keeping the communication flow of changes to the team.
  • Ensuring audit parameters are adhered to in line with existing policies.
  • Sustaining the relationship with vendors.
  • Delivering presentations for monitoring & discussing the monthly performance of credit card sales.
  • Consistently try to achieve the growth of business volumes.
  • Responsible for ensuring smooth execution of the national sales strategy of BFSL, keeping in mind its validity to the specific region.
  • Establish and manage strong business relationships with internal stakeholders (Risk, Credits, Back end, Product, Finance, etc.).
  • Focus on constantly upgrading sales strategies by generating innovative ideas on processes and to identify new opportunities in the market to increase the productivity of the team.

3. Area Sales Manager – Telesales

Educational Qualifications

Graduate/Post Graduate.

Role & Responsibilities

The ASM-Tele Sales will be responsible for identifying potential buyers and convincing them to buy the credit cards. The role would be responsible for the development of sound market sales/lead fulfillment strategies, which ensure optimum penetration in the desired segments in line with the regional digital & telesales strategy, thus, in turn, increasing the sales number/quota of the organization.

  • Responsible for, achieving monthly sales targets to meet the organization requirements of targeted Number of New Card Accounts.
  • Responsible for new customer acquisition through a pre-defined channel within the defined cost of acquisition.
  • Work closely with the sales, product & marketing teams to optimize productivity through product/channel mix.
  • To Derive Efficiency from the Callers in terms of Application Productivity.
  • Tracking Daily performance of tele-callers through Sales Funnels analysis.
  • Periodically checking trends and taking corrective measures.
  • To Monitor Decline Trends and accordingly, Modify the Sourcing Mix.
  • Measuring conversions of leads given by the team.
  • Creating detailed dispositions to track leads effectively to the last mile.
  • Connecting with the field teams/fulfillment team to take regular feedbacks on lead quality.
  • Maintain knowledge on all bank products and services and assist to resolve customer queries.
  • Regularly measuring the performance of the team.
  • Creating a training and development calendar to upskill the tele-callers.
  • Engages with customers to build relationships, and delivering a positive customer experience while acquiring.
  • Managing Sales Quality by ensuring defined benchmarks on First Time Not Right (FTNR), Gross Approval Rate (GAR), and Rejects & Sourcing Mix.
  • Keep up-to-date on products, policies, and competition.
Minimum Experience

3+ years of related experience preferably from banking and financial service sector companies of repute. Previous experience in Tele or digital sales would be favorable.
