IT for Change is an NGO based in Bengaluru, India. IT for Change aims for a society in which digital technologies contribute to human rights, social justice and equity.

Post Details

1. Policy Researcher

They are looking to recruit team members keen to grow with our ambitious research and advocacy efforts in relation to national and international policy contexts. Our research seeks to grapple with cutting edge themes in relation to data and digital technologies, exploring the norms and frameworks necessary for new thinking on digital policies.

  • Qualifications: Candidates with a PhD/Masters degree in economics, law, public policy, feminist studies, media studies or allied inter-disciplinary education with minimum experience of 3 years should apply. We are also interested in candidates who can bring public policy thinking together with engineering skills (in coding, data visualization etc.).
  • Remuneration: Remuneration will be commensurate with prior experience and qualifications.

2. Communication Team

They are looking to expand the communications team (a designation based on experience) at IT for Change for editorial functions, social media, and design.

  • Team member – Content and Editorial
    • Eligibility:
      -Passion for research and advocacy on digital rights and global politics of development.
      -Master’s degree in communications, journalism or social sciences with requisite experience of at least 3-4 years.
      -Excellent written and verbal proficiency in English.
      -Experience in content production, writing, and publishing.
      -Familiarity with Canva (or other design software), Mailchimp, and WordPress.
      -Experience with digital marketing and audience engagement strategies.
      -Aptitude for editing and curating content.
    • Desirable:
      -Videography and video/podcast editing skills.
      -Experience in data journalism/visualisation.
      -Oral/written fluency in Kannada/ Hindi.
      -Aptitude for basic design and creating graphic content using Canva or similar tools.
    • Remuneration: Remuneration will be commensurate with prior experience and qualifications.
  • Team member – Social Media and Design
    • Eligibility:
      -Bachelor’s degree in design, communications, journalism or social sciences.
      -Excellent written and oral communication skills, across a range of media.
      -Fluency in social media platforms and analytics.
      -Familiarity with Canva (or other design software), Mailchimp, and WordPress.
      -Aptitude for non-textual forms of content such as graphic art, memes, posters etc.
    • Desirable:
      -1- 2 years of relevant work experience.
      -Experience in videogaphy video/podcast editing
      -Oral/written fluency in Kannada/ Hindi
    • Remuneration: Remuneration will be commensurate with prior experience and qualifications.
