JOB POST: Junior Translation Officer at VSSC ISRO Thiruvananthapuram: Apply by Aug 30: Expired

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of Junior Translation Officer at VSSC ISRO Thiruvananthapuram.

The Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) is a major space research centre of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), focusing on rocket and space vehicles for India’s satellite programme. It is located in Thiruvananthapuram, in the Indian state of Kerala.

About the Post

Apart from translation, all types of work which are required to be done in Hindi or bilingually according to the requirements of Official Language Act, Rules, Annual Programme etc, circulation of orders, preparation of progress reports, preparation of agenda and minutes of meetings of Official Language Implementation Committees, implementing incentive schemes, sharing information on Hindi tools, nomination of employees for learning Hindi, organizing Hindi workshops, Technical Hindi Seminars, Hindi month and other such functions to propagate the use of Hindi. Assisting Deputy Director(OL)/Assistant Director (OL)/Section In-charge in various activities for ensuring the compliance of the Official Language Policy of the Union.

Eligibility
  • Essential Qualifications:
    • Master’s degree from a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level. (OR)
      • Master’s degree from a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level. (OR)
      • Master’s degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level. (OR)
      • Master’s degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level. (OR)
      • Master’s degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level.
    • Recognized Diploma or Certificate Course in Translation from Hindi to English and vice-versa or two years experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice-versa in Central/State Government Office, including Government of India undertakings.
  • Age: 38 years.
Salary
  • Approximate Salary per month: Rs. 42,300/-
  • Level 06 (Rs. 35,400 – Rs. 1,12,400/- ).

Selection Process
  • The selection process consists of (1) written test and (2) skill test.
  • The written test will be conducted first and short-listing will be done based on the written test scores and required number of candidates (ratio between vacancy and number of candidates to be called for skill test) alone shall be called for skill test.

  • There will be a non-refundable application fee of Rs.250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty Only) for each application.
  • Fee may be paid online through Credit Card / Debit Card / Internet Banking only through Integrated SBI ePay facility.
  • No other mode of payment will be acceptable and the fee will not be refundable under any circumstances.
  • Female/Ex-servicemen [EX] and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD) candidates are exempted from payment of Application Fee.
