The Jijivisha Fellowship is a one-of-its-kind program that empowers children from disadvantaged communities to find their voice, using the arts as a tool for agency.
They are looking for 40 extraordinary artists to join us in a year-long journey of social change. They’re looking for visual artists, theatre practitioners, poets, photographers and, storytellers.
Whichever hat you don, use the transformational power of arts to lead children through a nurturing journey of art and learning, and, in the process, discover yourself and your Jijivisha!
Slam Out Loud uses performance and visual arts to help children from disadvantaged communities find their voice through creative expression. Their fellowship program runs in Delhi, and through their e-learning programs and Art melas, they’re currently reaching out to 50000 children in 950 villages across Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and, Rajasthan.
The aim for a fellow also is to find oneself and discover your jijivisha, the abandon
and the sheer joy that such an experience holds, and the power that art contains within itself.
The year-long engagement will start from July 2019 and will require a monthly commitment of 10 hours, with 2 workshops by the fellows every month.
