Applications are invited for recruitment of two (02) Project linked persons (one for each project) purely on a temporary basis to work on the following projects in the Theoretical and Applied Sciences Unit (TASU) of the Indian Statistical Institute, North-East Centre, Tezpur, Assam.
Position 1: Modeling crop growth and detection of stress regions during the growing season in Sonitpur district, Assam
Position 2: Assessment of atmospheric particulate matter (PM2.5) and associated elemental carbon, organic carbon and water-soluble organic carbon at Tezpur, Assam
Essential: Master’s Degree in Physics/Remote Sensing/Applied Geology/Geoinformatics or MSc in CS/Electronics or MCA or MTech in CSE/IT/ECE/ETE/Applied Optics or related discipline from any recognized University.
Desirable: Experience in field spectroradiometer measurements
Essential: Master’s Degree in Environmental Sciences/Earth Sciences/Chemistry or related discipline from any recognized University
Note: Candidates who have appeared for the final examination can also apply but their appointment would depend on the production of the results of the final examination.
Consolidated pay ranging from ₹ 28,000 to ₹ 32,000 per month depending upon qualification and experience.
The appointment will be initially upto 31 March 2021 from the date of her/his joining. The appointment may be extended later/terminated earlier based on performance and availability of funds.
Should not exceed 35 years as on 01 July, 2020. Age may be relaxed for exceptionally bright candidates with relevant research experience. Usual relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Women/ differently-abled candidate(s).
